Loop velvet or Fake sherpa fur is pulled out of the yarn body by a wool drawing machine and evenly covers the surface of the fabric, making the fabric present a plump wool cotton fabric. Ring-up of loop-cut velvet depends on the repeated action of wire needle tips of the drawing machine. The velvet formed by pulling a part of fibers on the surface of grey cloth needs to be short, compact and even. Cut-loop velvet is divided into single-sided and double-sided velvet. The fabric structure of single-sided velvet is mainly 2/2 twill, also known as serge.
