According to statistics, the total export volume of textile garments in Vietnam in 2017 is calculated in usd, which is up 9.5% year on year, while in 2016, it is only up 3.6%.

In September and November, Vietnam's textile and apparel exports grew rapidly, achieving double-digit growth.


In 2017, about 47.2% of Vietnam's textile and apparel exports to the United States, with a year-on-year growth of 7.2 percent, are expected to gradually surpass China as the top supplier of U.S. textile apparel imports.

Exports to the eu grew by 13.2% year on year, becoming the sixth largest clothing supplier in the eu.

Exports of textiles and clothing to China surged 33.8% year on year, mainly due to a surge in cotton export sales.

Exports to South Korea are very strong, accounting for more than 10 percent of Vietnam's total textile exports.


It is understood that, due to the shortage of textile workers, the minimum wage level in Vietnam has been further improved since January 1, 2018. The sharp increase in labor costs has led to a sharp increase in the unit price of export.

It is worth noting that Vietnam still has a decisive advantage in the production of man-made fibres, while cotton production is relatively slow.
