The development of artificial fur in China
Before the reform and opening up, the artificial fur industry was mainly concentrated in textile powers such as South Korea, the United States, and Italy. In the early 1980s, a group of outstanding Korean artificial fur enterprises began to invest and build factories in China's coastal areas, mainly in Shandong. In the early 1990s, private entrepreneurs in Zhejiang entered the artificial fur industry, mainly in Cixi in Ningbo and Jiashan in Jiaxing. Cixi has become the world's largest production base for artificial fur. The number of artificial fur enterprises has grown to more than 200, accounting for about 70% of the country's production, accounting for about 60% of the world.
